2020 NPTE Topics

Hey folks! I am pleased to announce thanks to the help of the NPTE topic committee (Zach Schneider, Brent Nicholson, and myself) that we received the community votes and revised the topics. The NPTE is fortunate to have people who worked to create important topics to discuss and folks willing to refine topics to ensure quality debate. Here are your topics for the 2020 NPTE:

The United States federal government should significantly increase its deterrence against cyber theft of American-owned intellectual property by the People’s Republic of China.

The United States federal government should significantly increase its financial incentives for energy production in the United States from one or more of the following sources: nuclear power, solar power, wind power.

The United States federal government should significantly reduce its military aid to one or more of the following: the State of Israel, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Republic of Turkey.

The United States federal government should provide significant reparations for slavery to black people in the United States.

The Republic of South Africa should adopt a policy to significantly increase the restoration of land to peoples indigenous to South Africa.
