NPDA Elections 2020

Dear Colleagues,

As per the NPDA constitution, the association’s membership
elects the executive council based on nominations advanced by a nominating
committee that is appointed by the President. This year, two positions are up for election: TREASURER and EXECUTIVE SECRETARY. The nominees are indicated below:

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY

Amanda Ozaki (Director of Forensics at Concordia University Irvine)

The position of executive secretary is a part of the NPDA’s
executive council and is responsible for sanctioning regular season tournaments,
compiling season-long sweepstakes results (and certifying results for the
national tournament), as well as a variety of other responsibilities that
support the vitality of NPDA. The executive secretary serves a two-year term. If

TREASURER

Shannon LaBove (Asst. Director of Forensics at Rice University)

The position of treasurer is a part of the NPDA’s executive
council and is responsible for maintaining the financial records of NPDA,
securing contracts necessary for the national championship tournament, serving
on the national tournament site selection committee, maintaining records
regarding the membership (and dues payment) status of the organization’s member
schools, and a variety of other tasks that are essential to the financial
stability of the organization. The treasurer serves a minimum of a two-year

If there are no additional candidates, the elections will conclude with these candidates as our winners.
